Sitting in a movie theater one afternoon, I’ll never forget my intentions on pursuing a filmmaking career. I became determined to replicate the flashy-visuals, beautiful-sounds and raw-emotions on screen. Thus, in 2015, I began experimenting with a GoPro.

With little knowledge on frame rates, ISO levels, aspect ratios/dimensions and lens sizes, the GoPro was an ideal “beginners” camera. While using a GoPro, I recognized the image quality was lacking visual depth (smaller sensor + fixed lens) on projects. So, after researching cameras with larger sensors, I purchased a Canon VIXIA. Developing a niche for the Canon, I felt comfortable incorporating advanced audio recordings, and logarithmic color profiles (LOGs) into all video projects. After months with the Canon VIXIA, I acquired a Canon 77D.

New to the 77D DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) setup, I was impressed by the video quality, color profiles, lens options, audio plug-ins, and overall weight of the camera (easier glides, pans, tilts, flips). Furthermore, interchanging lenses enhances creativity when capturing a-roll, b-roll and c-roll footage. Around 2019-ish, my ability to operate multiple cameras, setup audio plug-ins/devices, build camera rigs, and stabilization equipment became second nature — I finalized my film equipment with a Canon C200 and DJI Drone (for aerial advantages).

Upon graduating from Elon University in 2019 (to present day), I continue traveling around the United States creating for family, friends, independent clientele, local groups, non-profit organizations and franchise businesses.
